Welcome to the Junior High Youth Group page! The junior high youth group is open to ALL 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 3 to 5 p.m.
St Nicholas Junior High Youth Group Schedule
September 16th Kick Off Teen Center 3-5pm
We have our Junior High Kick Off on September 16th from 3-5pm in the Teen Center. We will have pizza, pop, ice cream, and lots of fun and games. Please join us and feel free to bring a friend.
September 29th Christ's Table Christ's Table 9:30-1pm
We will be going to Christ's Table at 28 South 6th Street on September 29th. We will be working with the Senior High Youth Group to serve food to the less fortunate in Zanesville. Please be there at 9:30 am on September 29th. Contact Becky with any questions.
October 7th Life Chain Maple Ave 2:30-3:30
On October 7th, we will be participating in the Life Chain on Maple Avenue We will meet at St. Nicholas Church social hall, also known as the basement, at 2pm. We will then drive down to Dr. Colopy's office and join the Life Chain until 3:30. Parents are invited to join us for the day.
October 21st Cookie Bake Teen Center 3-5pm
Kairos is a Catholic ministry devoted to bringing Jesus to prisoners throughout the United States. Each weekend retreat Kairos workers bring over 150 dozen cookies to the prisoners as part of their ministry. On October 21st, we will meet in the St. Nicholas Teen Center from 3-5pm. We will be making several dozen cookies to send to the prisoners through Kairos and we will be discussing why this is a Christian ministry. Parents are welcome to send in additional cookies if desired.
October 28th Father Maynard's All Saints Rosary Procession Mattingly Settlement 5pm
We will be joining the Senior High Youth Group and other area youth groups for an outing to St. Mary's Mattingly-Settlement for an evening of fun and reflection. On October 28th, we will met at St. Nicholas Teen Center at 4pm and carpool together. Please bring a rosary and a flashlight.
November 18th Preparing for Advent Teen Center 3-5pm
On November 18th, we will be meeting from 3-5pm in the Teen Center to begin preparing for Advent. We will be making Advent calendars for home use and other crafts. We will also be talking about why we celebrate Advent and how to make the most of it for our families.
December 2nd Advent Party Teen Center 3-5pm
On December 2nd, we will be having an ADVENT PARTY! We will be enjoying popcorn and drinks while watching The Nativity Story. We hope to have a big crowd for this fun and faith filled evening.
