Mission Statement


Liturgy

  • Altar Servers – Assist the Presider at all weekly, funeral and wedding Masses. They assist the priest and are role models for the congregation.
  • Art & Environment – This committee decorates the church and sanctuary for the liturgical seasons.
  • Cantors – Cantors lead the Responsorial Psalm and Gospel Acclamation, as well as other music at Mass. They are scheduled monthly. For more information contact the Director of Liturgical Music.
  • Lectors – Proclaim two scripture passages, plus the Prayers of Petition at a scheduled weekend Mass and are dedicated to proclaiming the Word of God. Contact Jim Gable for more information.
  • Music Ministry – enhances the atmosphere of prayer and worship at Mass and other liturgical events by offering and encouraging singing and music.
  • Ushers – Assist with seating; attend to anyone needing assistance during Mass; supervises offertory collection, the carrying up of the gifts, and the flow of communicants. Contact Jerry Wolfe.
  • Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion – Distribute the Eucharist at a scheduled weekend Mass. Contact Judi Peterson for more information.

Eucharistic Adoration – First Fridays of the Month.

Rosary – Join us each Monday at 2:00 PM as we gather to pray the Rosary
asking Our Lady’s Intercession for the needs of our nation, community, and parish.

Ministry to the Homebound
(Includes those in Nursing Homes and Hospitals)
If you or someone you love wishes to receive the Eucharist
or to have pastoral visits, please call 453-0597.
Please call the Rectory immediately when a loved one is hospitalized.

Music Ministry
- Cantor Program -
- Traditional Choir -
Meet Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM in the choir loft.
Provide weekly music at the 9:30 AM liturgy.
- Resurrection Choir -
Provides music for the funeral liturgies at St. Nicholas and St. Thomas Churches.
